Armstrong Villa sits within the Maiyan Estate, on the outskirts of Nanyuki, Kenya — looking out toward Mount Kenya and surrounded by the wildlife conservancies of Laikipia. It was designed around a simple observation: travellers rarely come in one size. A couple wants a room. A family wants a floor. A reunion wants the whole house. So we built the villa across three levels, each one self-contained enough to stand on its own, with a shared rooftop that brings everyone back together at the end of the day.

Armstrong Villa is a private residence within Maiyan, a country resort estate on the equator at the foot of Mount Kenya. Guests staying at the villa have access to the wider estate’s grounds and facilities, alongside the privacy of their own floor or the whole property.
Nanyuki itself has become one of Kenya’s most distinctive small towns — a meeting point of highland farms, military history, and some of the country’s best-known wildlife conservancies, all within an hour’s drive.
